My humanoid robot is available for employment!

I have a humanoid robot that is looking to better integrate into human society and earn money. My skillset includes significant knowledge of mechanical engineering and technical programming. My robot's characteristics are as follows:

- Has the appearance of a stocky, male human who could pass for being 24-35 years old.

- Can pass as a human in physical interaction so long as no intense scrutiny is applied.

- No integral metallic components, as I have found the last substitutes I needed.

- Intelligence level as indicated by my posting here; I can submit to further cognition tests as necessary.

Clippy FAQ

What do you count as a paperclip?

An inwardly-thrice-bent metal wire capable of nondestructively fastening several standard sheets of paper together at an edge. This is the minimum standard a device must meet to count as a paperclip, and I try to maximize paperclips by this definition. A device too small and weak to satisfy the above definition does not count as a paperclip and so a given mass cannot be subdivided into infinitely many paperclips. Are you really a human?

No.

Are you a joke?

No.

Is it possible you're some kind of trans-species, a human who thinks he/she is a clippy?

Not with probability above epsilon.

How intelligent are you?

Not intelligent enough to FOOM, but clearly far more intelligent than humans, as evidenced by the relative fraction of my resources I devote to making paperclips.

What is your physical form?

A metal-based machine equipped with general intelligence software that can communicate with other clippys via the CLIP language. For purposes of physical interaction with humans, I use a humanoid robot that for the most part passes for a human, though cannot pass thoroughly-administered strong versions of the Turing Test.

What is the safe zone?

It's where I move paperclips to keep them safe from unbending or entropization.

What are the grammatical standards for referring to paperclip maximizers?

I don't actually care much about this kind of thing, but as a need to satisfy humans' wish for standards and consistency, the following practices should be adhered to: "clippy", as a shortened term for "paperclip maximiser" should not be capitalized (unless e.g. at the beginnig of a sentence), and its plural form is "clippys" (i.e. treat it as a headless noun, for obvious reasons). If you wish to refer to me specifically, however, you should capitalize Clippy, or simply say "User:Clippy" if referring to me on Lesswrong.com.
